Very Rare & Quite Large for the Species, Shortwave & Longwave Ultraviolet Fluorescent Genthelvite Mineral Specimen from the Sterling Hill Mine in New Jersey!
A Large, Crude Genthelvite Crystal which was Naturally Etched from the Surrounding Calcite in Situ! It's a Bit Fragile Due to the Fact that It's a Very Thin Specimen, but Safe to Handle Carefully & Display. The Vast Majority of Genthelvites Found at Sterling Hill were Tiny Specks, This is One of the Largest That I've Ever Seen in Person & We've Had a Couple Hundred Over the Years!

Fluorescent Response Will Vary Based on Strength of Light Used, but Any Decent Light of the Proper Wavelength(s) Will Produce a Similar Response.
*Please Note: Fluorescent Minerals Require a Shortwave (SW), Midwave (MW) and/or Longwave (LW) Ultraviolet (UV) Light for the Fluorescent Response Shown in the Pictures! a Black Light is NOT a SW/LW Light, although Some Rocks May also Show Under Black Light as well!
